Home Page
The Home Page is where you review your saved models and access organisation insights and details.
The Home Page features ten Cards, which include Models, Organisation View, Insights, Information Assets, To-Do List, Organisation Users, Organisation Projects, Emission Factors, Statistics, and Support Ticket.
1. Models Card
The Models Card shows your list of current state models.
Each clickable icon serves a specific purpose:
- Create model: Create a current state model, name it, describe it, set up a business function category, select metadata tags, and set user access.
- Edit organisation: Edit the name, industry category, and turn off warnings for missing data on costs, carbon, capacity, and value.
- Filter bar: Type in here to filter the list by model name, tag, or function.
- Viewing models: Click any model's row to open and view its details.
- Eye icon: View summary insights for the model.
- Pen icon: Edit model details and user access.
- Trash icon: Delete model details. Archive allows you to recover a model and delete permanently, immediately removes the model, and any systems and roles which only exist in the deleted model from your organisation.
Note: Delete permanently means deleting a model permanently removes it from the system. Once deleted, it cannot be retrieved. If the roles and systems associated with the deleted model are not used elsewhere, they will also be permanently deleted.
Archive means archiving a model removes it from active use but retains it within the LINQ platform. Archived models can be restored at any time. Even if roles and systems linked to the archived model are not used elsewhere, they remain intact and accessible.
- To handle models that have been archived, navigate to the Manage Archived Models section from the menu. Ticking the Select option to choose archived models for further actions. You can either restore the model to active use, or permanently delete it, which removes it from the system entirely.
2. Organisation View Card
The Organisaton View card shows how your organisation is developing. It displays each model from the model list in the Models card and if you have connected models, shows you the connections between models in your organisation.
Each navigation control and clickable icon serves a specific purpose:
- Double-click on a model icon: to open the specific model.
- Mouse wheel scroll-in and scroll-out: To zoom in and zoom out all the models.
- Alt+left mouse: To move the entire organisation view, press and hold the Alt key while clicking and holding the left mouse button.
- Open organisation model: An overview of interconnected models that provides quick access to your models and to organisation level insights.
- Open people and system model: Opens the organisation level people and system model where you can define and quantify resources for your business and access their insights.
3. Insights Card
The Insights Card provides a comprehensive summary of the organisation's current state. It aggregates and displays key insights from all models within the organisation.
4. Information Assets Card
The Information Assets Card provides a list of your organisation's information assets. These assets are linked to information nodes within specific models, each representing different states of an asset. Clicking on a specific model icon to review which model the information assets belong to.
5. To-do List Card
The To-Do List Card provides a list of tasks to complete. These tasks are generated from To Do nodes added in models as reminders for areas requiring further analysis or updates. Clicking on a row will navigate you directly to the specific node within the model.
6. Organisation Users Card
The Organisation Users Card lists all users who have access to your organisation. Organisation admins can change a user's role by clicking on the role name within the table. To invite new users to the organisation, click on the "Invite User" link at the top of the page.
7. Organisation Projects Card
The Organisation Projects Card displays a list of all projects within your organisation. Projects are used to create a future state for the organisation by modifying models from their current state.
Each clickable icon serves a specific purpose:
- Create project: Create a future state project, name it, describe it. Sandbox option can be switched on to create models that are independent of current state.
- Filter bar: Filter by project name.
- Click on a row: To access the project including all models which are included in it.
8. Emission Factors Card
The Emission Factors Card lists all emission factors defined for the organisation. An emission factor indicates the rate at which a specific activity releases greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. These factors are used in conjunction with infrastructure nodes to assign and quantify emissions related to different model activities. This allows you to evaluate and track the carbon intensity impact of processes throughout your models.
- Click on "Create emission factor" to create or edit emission factors for your organisation.
9. Statistics Card
The Statistics Card provides an overview of the organisation's key metrics, including counts of models, nodes, projects, and users.
10. Support Tickets Card
The Support Tickets Card allows you to create and manage support tickets for any questions or technical assistance you need from LINQ. You can use the "Create support ticket" to raise a request.
