Custom
Node Properties extends the default set of properties provided by LINQ to any
that you need to create to document properties relevant to your own business. From
the Properties panel, which displays when you select any node, you access the Custom
Properties creation panel through the cog:
This panel
enables you to create any custom property you need against any node type or
Value LINQset:
To
create a customer property, simply define your Property name, type and the node
types this new property will be associated with (please note that the data type
cannot be changed once the property has been created and for now, you also
cannot update the node types associated with the property once it has been
created):
Use
Show moreoptions to add any descriptive content to your new property which
will help users understand what this new property is used for:
Click
Add to create your new property:
When
you click OK to exit the Custom Property panel, your new Property will be shown
in the Property Panel against any node associated with your new property:
You
may create as many new properties as you need:
Your
new properties will be available against existing and new nodes that are
created, according to your property definition:
Hovering over a property in the Custom Properties panel will give you the options to edit and delete the property.
You may edit the name, but not the property type or the nodes that the property is associated with.
If you delete the property, all data associated with that property will be deleted permanently.
If you share your sketch with custom properties, they will share with the sketch, internally or externally through the copy process.
