Custom Node Properties

Custom Node Properties extends the default set of properties provided by LINQ to any that you need to create to document properties relevant to your own business. From the Properties panel, which displays when you select any node, you access the Custom Properties creation panel through the cog:

This panel enables you to create any custom property you need against any node type or Value LINQset:

To create a customer property, simply define your Property name, type and the node types this new property will be associated with (please note that the data type cannot be changed once the property has been created and for now, you also cannot update the node types associated with the property once it has been created):

Use Show more options to add any descriptive content to your new property which will help users understand what this new property is used for:

Your new properties will be available against existing and new nodes that are created, according to your property definition:

Hovering over a property in the Custom Properties panel will give you the options to edit and delete the property.

You may edit the name, but not the property type or the nodes that the property is associated with.

If you delete the property, all data associated with that property will be deleted permanently.

If you share your sketch with custom properties, they will share with the sketch, internally or externally through the copy process.
